Altai expedition - to the ends of the Earth with Agape

Greetings dear friends!
Thanks for coming by to check my blog spot! It been a wonderful month and I have a lot to tell you but first of all about the highlight of september - Altai expedition with Agape medical center. Altai mountains are in Siberia close to Mongolian border. Expeditions like this take place 3 times a year but it's the first time that Agape came to Altai. In the town of Gorno Altaisk there is a wonderful church Novaya zhizn - they hosted us and were very hospitable and offered their homes for us to stay on the way to the village and back. Our destination - Ust-Koksa village was 420 km from Gorno Altaisk and it took us more that 12 hours to get there! However we did not regret for it was a wonderful trip through gorgeous mountains and valleys.
The main goal of this expedition was to show God's love to the people who live "at the end of the earth" and so about 20 volunteer doctors and medical workers from 4 different countries got together to provide medical service along with free medicine to as many patients as possible. Alongside the doctors who did not always have a chance to share about their faith came a team of foreign and local helpers who told about the Good news and handed out Bibles to the people in the lines.
As the coordinator of our trip informed us in the end, we rendered medical service and distributed medications to about 800 people in different remote villages of Altai. I worked with Dr. Wilhelmina from Holland and we saw 15-25 patients a day. I enjoyed working with her and learnt so much from her that in the end of the trip I felt like a doctor myself!
I am so gratefull to the Lord for all the people from Agape medical center who organize such expeditions and I surely hope this was not the last expedition to Altai.

Praise the Lord for:

- all the organizers of Altai medical expedition
- freedom to share the good news in Altai
- His faithfulness in givin me this opportunity to serve Him and His people

Please pray for:

- the seed we have hopefully sown there
- upcoming outreach from the church of Gorno Altaisk to the village of Ust-Koksa
- all the local doctors we met who were very helpfull and devoted to their job
- our patient Nadezhda and her daughter who suffers from schizophrenia
