News from Komi

HI everyone! Glad to see you here! First and foremost: thank you very much for keeping me in your prayers!
So… I made it to the very North of Russia – the capital of Komi Republik – Syktyvkar! Wow! And how did I even think of coming that far North? You know, I have been praying about a ministry that would give me an opportunity to learn more about Christians in Russia and at the same time to serve Him and get more experience in public speaking. So God gave me this wonderful chance and now I am working as an interpreter and coordinator with Tree of Life ministry, organized by Adam and Kristen Davis from Michigan, USA. We are speaking at very different churches, organizing different events and meeting all the spiritual leaders here in the Republic of Komi. Praise the Lord! God is very faithful in keeping us occupied when he calls us to work in His business!
Right now we have just finished the 2nd Million Leaders conference (www.equiprussia.ru) and are getting everything ready for the next 3rd conference in March. Million Leaders Conference, based on John Maxwell’s curriculum is a good study for Russian Christian leaders. Not only senior pastors and church leaders are invited to participate but also business, educational and government leaders as well as everyone who has a potential and desire to become a good leader. This conference is not just a good leadership tool, it is also a great chance to bring leaders from different Christian churches together to demonstrate the power of the Body of Christ united. This is the main vision of this mission here in Komi Republic.
We also have an opportunity to travel around Komi and meet pastors from little villages and towns. It’s amazing how big the Kingdom of God is already on this Earth! I have never thought that I have that many brothers and sisters here in Russia. God is really showing us all the privileges of being a part of the Kingdom and serving to Him. We meet hospitable and kind sisters and brothers in Christ wherever we go.
Through this mission God has been broadening my spiritual outlook and revealing a lot of new and unknown truths about His Church. I am experiencing many various points of view on worship, service, leadership role of women and etc here in Komi and it gives me an idea of what the Body of Christ is like in the rest of Russia. I believe the Lord is preparing me for future work – I don’t know where and I don’t know in which role but He never does anything without a purpose.
I am thankful for each one of your prayers and they are needed!
this month please pray for:

- unity between Christian churches in Russia

- clear direction concerning Bible college
- my personal spiritual growth
- wisdom with unbelieving relatives and friends

May “the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension… guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:7)
